The Achievement of ECG and Its Application in Smart Watches

An ECG (electrocardiogram) is a recording of the electrical activity of your heart. It provides information about the heart rate and rhythm of the heart, and shows whether the heart is enlarged due to evidence of a series of heart diseases such as high blood pressure or previous heart attack. However, ECG does not show whether the heart arteries are asymptomatically blocked or predict the risk of future heart attacks. Resting ECG is different from stress or exercise ECG or cardiac imaging tests. If you have risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure, or symptoms such as heart palpitations or chest pain, then an electrocardiogram test is necessary. Or, if you already have heart disease, you need it even more.

Generally, if there are no risk factors for heart disease or symptoms suggesting that you may have heart disease, you do not need to have an electrocardiogram.

For people without risk factors for heart disease (such as high blood pressure) or symptoms of heart disease (such as chest pain), the ECG test is not useful in routine examinations. However, many people without risk factors or symptoms use an ECG as part of their routine examination. There are better ways to prevent heart disease than conventional electrocardiograms. The ECG will not cause any harm, it is just a monitoring method.

However, it sometimes shows minor non-specific abnormalities. These abnormalities are not caused by underlying heart disease, but cause concern and cause no need for follow-up examination and treatment.

So when do you need an electrocardiogram?

In some cases, it may be important to perform an ECG test. If you have a series of heart diseases such as risk factors for an enlarged heart (for example, high blood pressure) or heart disease symptoms (for example, chest pain, shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, or fast heartbeat), an electrocardiogram should be performed. If you need an ECG test to meet screening or occupational requirements, or have a personal or family history of heart disease, diabetes, or other risks, and want to start exercising.

ECG (electrocardiogram) monitoring is just a means to monitor the heart, and its main function is to prevent the occurrence of heart disease. The ECG monitoring mentioned here is more of ECG (electrocardiogram) monitoring on medical devices. This type of ECG monitoring can generally only be performed in hospitals, and ECG monitoring cannot be performed under normal circumstances.

Since Apple launched the watch series, its health functions have been continuously improved from heart rate to ECG monitoring. At the same time, since the launch of the Apple watch series, other major manufacturers, whether it is Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, etc., or Huami, Fitbit, Garmin, Veepoo, etc., are also promoting smart watches, and the general trend direction is the same. Health monitoring direction.

And the latest ECG monitoring function, long before the world-class companies entered the health monitoring industry, there were already a number of innovative companies in China, and Weiyipoo Technology from Shenzhen, China is a leader in the field of health monitoring. It was established as early as 2012. Initiate innovation and research on health monitoring technology.

After years of technology precipitation, Veepox launched Watch RIG, a wearable device that focuses on health monitoring in early 2021. This product is equipped with many health functions focusing on ECG monitoring. The ECG monitoring function is matched with Lorentz Heart Health. Analytical method can fully track the state of heart health.

The ECG function of Watch RIG can track and record 13 kinds of heart diseases, and analyze the heart health status based on the ECG formed by the tracking. These data will be stored as a report in the form of a text, which can be directly provided to the doctor when visiting a doctor.
